Homeless Outreach Services

The Vera French Community Mental Health Center has provided homeless outreach services since 1990 through the federal grant, Projects to Assist in Transition from Homelessness (PATH). The Vera French Outreach team assists those individuals in the Scott County area who are living in transitional housing, a shelter, doubling up with friends or family on an emergency basis or living on the streets and who are in need of mental health services. Once identified, a Homeless Assessment is completed and the individual has the following services available:

  • Screening and Diagnostic Treatment
  • Individual Psychiatric Services
  • Psychological Testing
  • Drug and Alcohol Treatment Referral
  • Medication Management
  • Other community resources for housing, supplemental income and medical treatment

Services are provided at no cost to the individual.
