Vera French Housing Corporation
The Vera French Housing Corporation (VFH) was formed in October 1994, to assist individuals with persistent mental illness to obtain permanent, affordable housing that is linked to the Center’s support services and additional services within the community. Today, Vera French provides housing for 128 individuals and families within the Iowa Quad Cities.
Individuals in Vera French Housing receive ongoing support services provided by the Mental Health Center and other community agencies. Services are available both at home and at program sites. The help offered is flexible and can be adjusted as needs change.
Vera French Housing offers 118 units of apartment buildings, duplexes and shared living throughout Davenport and Bettendorf. VFH also works with individuals coming from shelters and homeless living situations. Each living situation is unique and there are different prices for each unit. Vera French Housing accepts Community Vouchers, and HUD funding.
